This Chair Yoga class is perfect for anyone who wants to experience strengthening exercises, safe stretches, meditation & mindful breathing, all while seated in a chair. This class is light-hearted, but the effects are profound. We often do seated variations of challenging poses that are familiar to anyone accustomed to any form of hatha yoga. To honor our extended circle of friends & family, who are pillars of our community, these sessions are offered at a reduced rate of $7 a class, or 5 classes for $30.
This class reveals that yoga is accessible to everyone. In this class, participants are lead through an entire routine while seated in a chair, emphasizing sensation, breath-awareness, alignment, visualization, attitude and mood. This is a practice that can be incorporated into daily life. This class is always free, sponsored by the Woody Foundation.
